Call for Summer of Resistance‭ ‬2009 ----‭ Against NATO, G20, G8, Frontex and the “Stockholm Programme”! ---- Collapse the security architectures‭!

Since the end of the last millennium a modification of the‭ “‬security architecture‭” ‬within the EU takes place,‭ ‬which have been accelerated by the attacks of‭ ‬11 ‬September‭ ‬2001‭ ‬in the United States.‭ ‬Visible phenomena are for example the entanglement of internal and external security,‭ ‬a‭ “‬pooling‭” ‬of prosecution authorities and intelligence sevices and a simplified data exchange.

International Dissent! meeting from the 16th to 18th January 2009 in Strasbourg

The revolts which are presently rising in Europe and the other parts of the world are a reaction to the global economic and social situation which deteriorates at an exponential rhythm. The impoverishment of resources also causes numerous conflicts. IMF have already asked the countries to get ready to face numerous uprisings due to the generalized recession, insisting on the importance to be able to control those resistances to insure the safety of capitalism.

Anti-NATO protest -- Proposal for an action day against the "European security architecture"

NATO is planning to host their annual conference next year in France and Germany in the cities of Strasbourg and Baden-Baden. While the summit itself will take place in Strasbourg, the “working dinners” of the ministers of defence will be held in Baden-Baden, Germany, between Karlsruhe and Kehl, around 50 kilometres from Strasbourg.

The summit will celebrate the 60th anniversary of this war alliance, when the member states will discuss NATO’s new strategic direction. As in 1999 large changes are planned.

Carambolage-No Longer a PGA-Infopoint

The Carambolage collective in Berlin has decided to cease involvement in
the PGA process, in particular in the capacity of being a PGA infopoint.

Our reasons for taking this action are based on the following:

· Our experiences at the PGA conference in August 2008 showed lack of
concrete results because of poor organization, very few participants,
insufficient preparation for the workshops.

problems within PGA but hoped that this conference would resolve some of

The State of Security: Militarisation and Repression Carambolage Call Out for the PGA-Conference

The world is at war. After the worldwide changes during the last decades of the 20th century we are now facing efforts to restructure the whole
world according to the needs of capitalist production. The wars in Iraq, the war in Yugoslavia and Afghanistan violently express this tendency in
world politics. To continue this policy, the countries began to establish rapid reaction forces, so that they can intervene on any conflict
everywhere with a minimum of time. Furthermore military bases are set up worldwide under the name of Nato to defend freedom and democracy.

Carambolage CALL-OUT for Global Office Berlin PGA-inspired Infopoint

Recognizing the need for an international space for activists in Berlin, the Carambolage Collective is issuing a call-out for people to join our efforts in creating a dynamic meeting space and a People's Global Action (PGA) Infopoint. We invite anyone who is interested in helping to realize this vision on a conceptual as well as a task-oriented level. We hope that activists will find out about what is going on and make connections here, talk to each other and give feedback.
